Homebrew Two unrelated Questions

Well first i guess i should start with the easier question.

A few months back I saw on reddit that someone was able to launch a pre loaded game (not pre installed) with FBI before the game was really released. (I am pretty sure it was the new kirby game). So I was wondering if this was still possible to do with a hacked 3ds or if ninty has patched this out as I would love to be able to play the new pokemon games this fall before they come out so I can play one of them well I wait in line during the midnight release to get the other game.

Before I ask my next question I should explain my 3ds setup. I'm running a New 3ds XL with menuhax into bootmanager on sysnand 9.2 running two emunands I can choose from in bootmanager, the first one being a Japanese Gateway Emunand to play pokemon in and the second being a US emunand running Luma, both of which are up to date firmware wise as of this typing.

Now with the release of the new A9LH guide, which apparently makes it easier to install I was wondering if it would be worth it to finally install A9LH without messing up my setup to much. Is it possible to have it go from A9LH into bootmanager so I can still have my two different emunands running from the same card? Or should I just stay with Menuhax?

The reason why they were able to play the Kirby game early was because the full game leaked online before it came out. You'll be able to do it with Pokemon if the game leaks early, but that might not happen.

To switch to A9LH, make a backup of your emunand and restore that at the end of the guide when it tells you to restore your sysnand backup.

The Kirby game was playable early due to the fact it released early in Japan and had the English language files on the cart for the Pokemon games as they are simultaneously releasing in Japan and north America so unless a dump of the game leaks you won't be able to play it early.

I'm not sure if the game would be playable though because when you preload the game, it downloads most of the files, so there could be a few files missing. It's also possible that the video is fake and they showed the preloaded game and loaded the Japanese game, but there's no way to know.

To set up an emunand using A9LH, make backups of both of your nands before installing A9LH, then go through the normal emunand setup after installing A9LH and restore your nand backups.
