I'm doing something wrong here so let me go through the steps I'm using. I install Themehax using the 1.3 offline installer with just the default files in the archive. Then once it's done I'm able to boot into homebrew by holding the set button so it installed presumably fine. Next I take the new paylaod downloaded for my firmware and put in in the SD root renaming it to replace "ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA20480_new3ds.bin" but then when I trry to start Homebrew Launcher again it 19 times out of 20 hangs on the glitched graphics screen. What am I doing wrrong?

Is there an offline installer for 1.2 with autoboot? Not having to hold L? Also, for O3DS and N3DS at 10.1 and with autoboot 1.2, is it alright to just copy/paste the ropbin referenced in the first post?

I successfully installed themehax with the offline installer (THANKS for the OFFLINE btw...)
I deleted the menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin in the root of my SD card, and put mine (N3DS_E_11272_8203.bin named menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin), but when I press L, I have a Black Screen "An error has occured"
Same things when I use the last step (open an app...).

@Asia81 I have had that same issue happen to me before.

Honestly, I managed to fix it, but I don't know how.

Cue random list of things to try:
1) Make sure you downloaded the ropbin and not the otherapp payload.
2) Try the steps from this post and post your results (or if that's what you meant above, skip this step)
3) Multi-step procedure:
-Download the otherapp payload and put it in the otherapp directory of the themehax_installer (sd:/3ds/themehax_installer/otherapp/)
-Change your theme to the default theme, and launch hbl via a primary exploit
-Re-run the installer, you should get an error (most likely)
-Shut down your 3ds and put the ropbin on the root of the sd, named menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin
-Start your 3ds up and follow the steps from the link in step 2

Please post your results for if something worked (and what is was), or if something didn't work so we can diagnose

I had problems with the offline version ("error has occurred" screen), deleting the original hax installer folder (online ver. from starter kit) and putting the offline didn't work for me...i tried to copy the folder OVER the old one and it worked fine (maybe some file are missing in the offline ver, idk)...after that i putted the 2.5 payload in the sd root renaming it like the 2.1 payload just installed... Now, for me, it works 100% times when launching after normal boot (coldboot fails 90%)

Always errors on me... :(

What does? The installer? If so then you probably have the online installer and not the offline one. Booting it up? Try the alternate boot method if the first one doesn't work. (It's in the OP) The apps like eShop and Hans? Chances are if they aren't working, then you're still on 2.1

If i have the 2.5 installed and Themehax installed on my OLD 10.1 3ds can i update the 3ds to 10.2 and Themehax will still work, or no? Cuz i cant use the browser of the 3ds unless i update. :(

Themehax and browserhax are both patched on 10.2. If you update you will be limited to game-based hax (ninjhax, oot3dhax, smashbroshax, and ironhax if you already have the old ironfall version) and smashbroshax is not a viable option as your only means of running homebrew.

tried manual patch but noting happens it still loads 2.1
You have to update the boot.3dsx and get the new starter kit from the *hax page as well.

Browserhax was patched anyway on 10.2, and so was themehax. I'd suggest you don't update.
