Myoriginal ropbin file in my JAP N3DS ropbin wasropbinpayload_menuhax.bin.

I downloaded the one from smea's website and the name is POST5_J_19456_9221, I renamed it like the original one and it doesn't work.

Also tried renaming it ropbinpayload_menuhax_JAP19456_new3ds.bin and is a no work neither.

Any idea what should I rename it?

It should be "menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin". It was found out that for n3DS users, renaming it to that works.

If that doesn't work I guess try "ropbinpayload_menuhax.bin" but I'm not sure if that's a spelling error or how the n3DS shows it.

Yeah it actually is menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin, I missplaced th terms while typing it... But still doesn't work

Try deleting the menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin altogether and re-inserting it with a freshly downloaded, renamed payload. (And make sure it's the ropbin payload, not the otherapp payload.)

Are you trying to power up the 3ds with the L button pressed? Coldboot for 2.5 seems very unstable and fails a lot...try the power screen-home button method after the normal boot to Home menu

Try giving it another go and if that doesn't work try the alternate boot method from the OP.

9.9 n3ds here and mine hangs as well, only booted into HBL like 2 times out of 20 tries. I used the A button input option and pressed select and tapped the screen to set entry button.

Are you renaming it before you drop it in your sd? Because I had the same problem, then i deleted and downloaded and renamed it before i put it in and it worked after that

Holding L on boot I get a green flash and then a khaki coloured screen and the boot.3dsx doesn't load.
Holding L after pressing Home from Power Off screen, I get a green flash and then the boot.3dsx loads.

Online themehax installer fails with invalid http content-size error.
Offline installer worked OK.

Am I on 2.1 or 2.5?

I can load eShop and run HANS.

Any ideas?

If you can load eShop you're probably on 2.5. If you're unsure, try closing the 3DS lid and opening it again to see if you have sleep mode.

@ItsYogSothoth The error is only on the online installer. You may have overwritten the offline installer when installing the starterkit, which has the online installer.

The problem was I put your mod to "themehax_installer_off" folder (I wanted to keep both installers). The point is your mod can't read folder name it's in...
Themehax is installed, now I have to make it run *hax 2.5

It's not my mod but I digress. And that is a problem that all apps have if you don't rename the .3dsx and .smdh along with the folder name.

I mean it was showing up, but it couldn't load files, because it was looking for them in ".../themehax_installer" folder, not ".../themehax_installer_off"
