josete2k where are the usb straps to install on diagramm ?

I havent found this here ? is it on the extern HDMi module ? For what are the usb straps ?

Greets

v1.3.2 online.

The strap goes from the testpoint next to BQ24193 to pin 2... Near the battery connector.

If you don`t have it, you don`t have it.

Check that install guide, find your chip, it's on of the easy installs.

That guide also explains why the usb strap is used.

Yes.

I have the dualboot installation (joycon strap only) plus usb strap.

Do the alternate vol+ on the flex ribbon it works a treat.

@mattytrog for simpletons like me, what file do i need just for an external dongle? Ideally i need it so you just simply plug the dongle in upon booting into RCM and it boots firmware. Is this possible? As currently i have to boot it, then press the switch for it to push the payload. (Video below is: Switch turned off, plug dongle in, then press power button and boots into auto RCM, then press switch - no idea why the custom bootlogo glitches at the end?)

Yes it's possible. Don't know the pinouts. Try the dragoninjector version. Let me know
Or generic trinket version

I'm trying to update to the latest version but i can't get to switchboot in horizon os. Now i'm trying the SAMD chip update mode but i get the following error: error (5) creating file bootloader/payloads/dummy. Any advice?

Is SD card ok? You have bootloader/payloads folder on SD?

I was trying to show that can you copy the pin/files from what evilsperm uses so I can use your simple-UF2? Would much rather use your stuff my friend

Yes. It will only update when it detects the straps. So, because you need to boot to Nintendo firmware to activate the strap, try booting with a joycon connected... Next reboot, status updated.

Press volume+ at and point... Reboot... Updated.

See? When the strap senses it is being used, it updates.

The vol+ strap is for booting cfw. It also has other options based on how long you hold vol+ down for. I will make a list of all the options tomorrow. I forgotten.

If using a trinket m0, you will see a blue light through the grilles of your Switch when you press vol+.

All you need to do is update the UF2. Double-press reset, drag and drop. Job done.
