Hi, I was wondering if my idea is safe before I do something risky.

I have a 3DS with B9S and Luma Cfw and want to transfer my account data and statistics to another 3DS.

The reason I want to do this is because I want to have a new device while I give the other one to someone (with cfw, so that person can use it as well) and keep the new one for me. With my previous statistics and the NNID.

Is that possible with the build-in transfer method?
Do I have to pay attention to anything before (like deleting cias or homebrew)?
Should I install b9s on the new device before or after the transfer?

Nope. You need the nintendo support to remove your nnid completely.
not true if you are connected to the internet at the time of a system to system (format) system transfer then the nnid(s) will be de-linked server side as well

yes

you dont have to delete them but the console will not transfer the tickets so they wont be playable . . . i have a thread for you to read . . . Doing a system transfer, im a bit paranoid.

before

Thanks again for the help. I have now done the following:

1. updated new 3DS to 11.9.0 and set up with boot9strap. (created a new throw-away nnid to download stell diver and do the exploit)
2. the system was formatted during the transfer, but the nnid was transferred. sd card was transferred from the old ds to the new one (with cias and other important things).
3. started the Homebrew Launcher with the Rosalina menu and reinstall all necessary cias with FBI. Checkpoint restored all savegames.
4. created and saved a NAND backup with the GodeMode9 scripts.

Am I through with it now or have I forgotten something?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
