I must be some kind of nerd to do this; even worse, I'm a Temper!:hrth:

Who cares about Ganon? This is what ate up 95% of my time on Tears of the Kingdom:

Hylia Aeronautics.png

Not Pictured:
  • H-1 Rito: A wing with steering and three fans in a stack, attach at its central axis to the 'beak' of the aircraft. More built than any other aircraft. One that is built on the H-3's tricycle undercarriage is an H-1B, and one with each of the three wheels attached with torches is an H-1C.
  • H-2 Darner: Like one of those popular side-by-side, (aye, como se dice)...Green Goblin-style craft, but with the engines arranged in front and behind, at a 45° back angle, leading to significantly improved handling over the popular design.
  • H-4 Din: A large stack of 12 fans like a rocket, with a steering helm atop it and two booster rockets, one on either side; designed to reach the sky islands very quickly. Usually accompanied by a wood plank launch pad/tower in order for Link to mount it.
Like any aeronautical venture, there have been mishaps, believe it or not (nice physics!):
  • An H-3 Moblin broke up over Hyrule Field due to excessive maneuvering, landed safely on remaining wing, the other half glid-off (WTF?!)
  • H-3 Moblin purposefully crashed into Purah
  • Booster rocket attached to incorrect fan on H-4 rocket assembly; spiraled off unmanned into the desert.
  • Both right engines simultaneously detach from H-5S aircraft in level flight at high-altitude over Gerudo Canyon before reaching fan endurance limit, causing the aircraft to spin in. Link paraglid to safety. Despite Link landing at the crash site, engine detachment was never satisfactorily explained.
  • Four of six engines on an H-6 Aerocuda reach endurance limit and despawn, causing the aircraft to crash into Kara Kara Bizaar with Link onboard and 'freak out' several NPCs (casualties?)
