BotW Unpacker
Modding Tool

unknown.png

Description:
(but don't we already have tools for this...?)
The basic purpose for this tool was for Extracting, Building, Encoding, and Decoding simplified.

So many other tools for separate things, and I wanted to make them all better and combine them into one
with features that make it easier for modders, like myself, to work quicker and easier

I developed the tool privately with a discord community and now believe it's stable enough for public.

Download:

https://github.com/Shadsterwolf/BotWUnpacker/releases

Features:
-General Extract, Build, Decode, and Encode
-Auto Yaz0 Decode
-Extract all Pack Files in one go to seperate folders or compile all to one
-Build with a fixed data start offset for rare cases (Add padding)

Credits:
Uwizard code SARC.cs heavily modified (correcting build hash, filesize logic, and adding comments!)
Yaz0 Decode based off of thakis's and shevious's C++ code, re-coded in C#
Yaz0 Encode was re-researched and programmed by myself in C#

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
