The Wii U isn't completely dead yet, Nintendo is done releasing first party titles on it but the online service remains active and any third party publishers who want to publish titles on the Wii U can (seems like a waste of money but any WiiU collectors will buy the games anyway).

Here's two coming up:

Release date: May 23, 2017.

Release date: June 13, 2017.

Pre-ordered Darksiders Warmastered since it's really cheap and also have Darksiders 2 so it'll go nicely along.

Darksiders is what I truly find puzzling. It makes me happy to see a developer go through with a promise though. I mean Darksiders on the Wii U is going to sell incredibly poorly, we all know it, but the developer said long ago the game would come to the Wii U, and they're seeing that promise through. Ultimately I respect that, even if I do think its a bit silly at this point.

No offense to the dev team, but releasing Darksiders to the Wii U will be a mistake, the game sales are gonna be garbage and the company's gonna go on a bitchfest complaining about bad sales  Also known as Ubisoft Syndrome.
I was hoping they'd cancel the WiiU version and release it on the Switch but that didn't happen.

They will release it on the Switch eventually

Source? If the game bombs on the Wii U (which it will), what makes you think they will go on the Switch? Citation needed.

Yeah, the Wii U is a lost cause, like, really now, seems kinda trivial to have them release it.

You really think they're going to have a "bitchfest"? I mean its 2017, any developer with half a brain releasing a game on the Wii U at this point, should be well aware of the landscape they're releasing that title on to. No I don't think they're in for any surprise at all, and are really just releasing the Wii U version to fulfill a promise, not because they're expecting any substantial sales on the platform at all.

Awww, Darksiders is actually fun and a good game. It's a shame to see it sell like shit on a dead console. I hope they port it to Switch, and it sells a lot better.

And I think it's trivial that they release it on a dead platform, they should've reallocated it to the Switch.

Not disagreeing with that. But I also appreciate any developer that follows through on a promise. They said long ago this game would come to the Wii U and they stuck to that promise despite knowing it won't make them any real money. I appreciate that business decision even if i would prefer a Switch version.

Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
