CD Projekt Red got to reveal that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was coming to the Nintendo Switch, back in June during E3 2019. Following the debut of day 1 of Gamescom 2019, they've now given the release date for the Switch port. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, with all its DLCs and expansions, will release on October 15th, letting you experience the renown game at home, or on the go. If the above trailer doesn't show enough gameplay for you, there's also a gameplay video that shows footage of The Witcher running on the Nintendo Switch.

You know, the Switch has proven beyond a doubt that if devs work hard on optimization, even games like this and Wolfenstein can run well enough on very low end hardware. Makes you think what could happen if more time and effort is put into optimization.

I'm pretty sure docked mode will be OC'd to some extent to cope with the higher resolution, but yes, it definitely would benefit.

The only difference worth mentioning would be load times, and even then there aren't big enough differences to switch from one thing to another.
Not sure about what you mean about HDD, unless you mean PC, then I think with all things factored in, even with a mechanical HDD it would probably be faster loading times than the Switch.
As for the Switch, Internal Memory > microSD > Cartridge in order of loading time speed (ascending), but the differences are very minor.

Nintendo needs to give more clock power to the Switch in handheld mode cause I believe that's what most people bought it for.
I frankly don't mind a 1.5 hour gameplay of a big title while away from my charger.

I remember that back in the PSP days, some games allowed higher clock speeds at cost of battery life, and a warning recommending to stay connected to the power when doing so appeared, one example was Kingdom Hearts BbS, I can't remember which other games had this feature. Something similar could be done for the switch, both a "Performance" and "High Quality" modes.

That's difficult to say, at least for me, as this info is kind of sparse.
The Switch Dock's only USB 3.0 port is not USB 3.0 enabled iirc, so using an external hard drive through that would be slower than a fast microSD or the internal storage. In any case, again, the differences are minor, unless there comes SSD support.

I'm excited for this game! I haven't had a chance to play it yet and people keep telling me that I should. Heck, even my dad played in on PC and urges me to give the game a chance.

I hope the combat feels better than it did in Skyrim. The fighting and the copy and paste dungeons were my biggest gripes with that game. I prefer a lock on feature like in Zelda or Gothic (my favourite action RPG).
