Well, a GC freeloader would still be really useful, even if it's just a bootable one. And, surely you can get a GC loader to work somehow, it's only space limitation that's stopping people trying to make Wii ISOs bootable off an SD.

No, that's not the reason why Wii ISOs from SD isn't happening soon. Trucha Scruubed games are small enough.

Really? Then why on Earth has no-one mentioned it's impossible to boot ISOs? Everyone's been theorising about how ISOs could be booted off a USB Mass Storage Device, so you're saying that's a load of bull too?
It must be possible somehow.

yes, it is possible, but it would mean that the usb ports on the wii be unlocked to full speed (USB 2.0), and a suitable loader, its only a metter of time beofr one is developed, but until then, we should stop asking.

its like the psp's homebrew scene, it wasnt long before we got a iso loader on that, so its only a matter time before one appears for the wii, then the real piracy scene begins and nintendo will stop all our fun for good

as for a GC freeloader, its an awesome idea, but i wouldnt know if it is even possible, i have a few NTSC and JAP gc games i would love to p;ay again without a freeloader, but if it is possible, its until someone takes on the task of coding the program

Thanks for confirming that, I was sure it was possible. And, yeah, I agree on that, everyone's asking for ISO loaders constantly. I guess we should just be grateful so much has become available, and so quickly.

Just like the PSP, and the XBOX........ and the PS2..... nobody had a clue before those happened either. It just takes a few VERY DEDICATED people to do it. And you claim its possible because IT IS POSSIBLE. Nobody is claiming its going to happen soon. Just that it is going to happen at some point in time.

As for how soon. I'll quote arctic_flame and just say "Don't hold your breath." It's probably going to be a long time. Not just a few days or a couple weeks either. Your talking maybe by Q4 2008... MAYBE. Once summer hits and everyone has alot more time to do coding then the scene will jump foreward to non-essential homebrew like this. For the time being, brick-blockers and emulators are still in very high demand.
