How can I complete the mission where I have to sneak into a building, with Vaan.
I think its Chapter 3, mission 2.

And which person should I train, Filo (the person with the flying snowboard) or Ba'Gamnan?

Kill a few mob and then just run for the objective(Vaan has a haste ablility and you can use that.)

You should use Filo. Ba'Gamnan will leave you(I haven't completed the game yet but he leaves).

Comments like this are absolutely not needed and they're creepy in a way.

I'm liking it so far, although the characters don't exactly fit up to par with the original FFXII.

Did anyone notice that Vaan is err... less introverted here, and more of the leader? In FFXII, Balthier was the real leading man for a long time, and I practically thought that Vaan was absent through most of the game. The game sort of lacks the filling for this sort of contrast, although the fact that Vaan gets an airship should excite him for the most part.

That's pretty much my only irk besides the whole issue of having a huge mass of espers/leaders and trying to pick a specific one; you have to drag down menus quite a bit. Otherwise, I love it.
Actually, it's part of the story. Play on, you'll see.

Vaan is to weak to kill a guard...
Lvl 14, but still to weak.
And I would like to have the loot of that level.
Is there any secret way, or a method to do this?

i beat level by putting sprint as my gambit...and RUN...run like crazy! haha...I had the entire sky pirate army on my ass when entering that temple...'sneaking in'? my ass! =p

Can someone please point me to a section on where i can learn how to get ffXII working on my ds-xtreme? I tried the arm7 fix but i still get a while screen when i load the game. Time to throw ds-xtreme in the crapper and get a new device but until then would like to try out the new ff game.

Nevermind found this myself gui_arm7. Worked great on mission 3 after 2 hours and some change.

got owned by mydia at 8-4
any tips on how to beat her ?

i have no problem defeating all enemies in the map except her
she can 1-2 hit kill all my characters + espers

btw i'm lvl 41-43

Mydia is a pain and I was around lvl 30-33 when I beat her.
I just kept sending Ifrit alone (does double punch, pretty good up to this state for 1vs1 boss fights) to fight mydia alone along with a skydive from Lyud (don't remember his name) and the occasional quickenings from Vaan and Kytes (just make sure you do those attacks quickly so he focuses on ifrit when you run away with the others). It will take around 5-10 ifrit spawns to get his hp down to half.
Then send ifrit alone again so he does his aoe lightning attack on him, then go all in with the rest of the party and finish her off.

I haven't played FF XII on PS2, but I started playing Revenant Winds and I'm enjoying it.

Do you think that I'll have some problems with the story?

I haven't had any problems with the story and I haven't played FFXII.. there are those occasional old char meetings and you have no idea who they are or what their connections are with the main chars etc. But they will rarely talk about the 'past' or make small remarks which is about the past as well (some you can even figure out what they mean) and they will mainly focus on the main story in this game. So it's fully playable storywise without playing FFXII.

For anyone who has beat this game did u guys ever get 100%? and were u able to collect all the recipe books? cause i just beat it and i only have 91% complete and missing 3 books
