iirc, that's what Smea did with Ninjhax, and that didn't prevent Nintendo from removing CN less than 24 hours after the announcement.

There are well-established plans, protocols and procedures for vulnerability disclosure and exploit development in the 3DS hacking community.
It was a surprise that Nintendo reacted so quickly and fervently with regards to Freakyforms/Freakyhax, but then again, the community had acted in like; it was widely disclosed and well-documented on the moment of its release.

Freakyforms does nothing on 11.0 that OoT can't do on 11.0, and it does nothing on 10.x and older, that Cubic Ninja, Browserhax, et al, couldn't do before.
Nintendo could Ironfall Freakyforms, too - plug the hole in a software update, and make 11.1 not launch it without an update.
Some suspect Nintendo is even watching other 3DS hacking and homebrew communities, too.

And it's just a matter of time / interest. If a lot of people are interested into XBone, then hackers will naturally be interested too. Since the PS4 is a lot more popular than the XBone, it's not really surprising it's already been hacked. The same thing is true fro the Vita / 3DS, or any platform.

As of today, computer security, while much more advanced than it was years ago, is far from perfect. For now, and probably for a long time, everything is, or will be, hacked, if enough time and effort is put into it.

ignorance... there is no "unhackable" system.

Freakyhax is primary, more convenient (just need files on your SD, no installing/reinstalling payloads), and OoT is effectively unusable on 11.0 for the time being.

Yes, but it's a new primary that works on 11.0. For much of the world, CN carts were very hard to come by, whereas Freakyforms were much easier to get. No-one's trying to make out that Freakyhax is super exceptional; no-one's arguing that it can do things that other hax could not. I think it's clear that Nintendo acted to quickly to freakyhax being released because they want to take back control of the console, and 11.0 is their way of doing that.

Maybe for the digital version, but exceptionally unlikely for the cartridge version.

If it has made its way to Reddit, then it has already become too public. The only way to hide from Nintendo is to go completely underground. Either keep it private and release it to a select few or make it hard to get to, like locking it away in the deep web and having it take its time to float to the surface.

well that would cause way more trouble than its worth, would be hilarious for the scalpers though who hoard like 60 copies once it is announced as fake.......but nobody would be able to know what game to buy if they just spam 100 names

How about a Pokémon Sun / Moon hax announced a day after the games' release
