there's a trek documentary about the 55th anniversary called the center seat on the history network. the first episode was about the original series; the next one about the animated series, which I haven't scene. I'm assuming the next one is about next gen. it comes on tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. cst.
I've watched the first two episodes of it, and it's pretty interesting. It made me want to watch/re-watch The Animated Series. I'm looking forward to the episodes covering my favorite series (TNG, DS9, and Voyager). All of the episodes are as follows:
- Lucy Loves Trek (The Original Series) - 11/5/21
- Saturday Morning Pinks (The Animated Series) - 11/12/21
- Trekking through the '70s - Phase II and The Motion Picture (Phase II and The Motion Picture) - 11/19/21
- Trek Goes To The Movies (the rest of the TOS Movies) - 11/26/21
- Queue for Q (The Next Generation) - 12/3/21
- Dancing with Syndication in the Pale Moonlight (Deep Space Nine) - 12/10/21
- Voyage(r) to the Delta Quadrant (Voyager) - 12/17/21
- Starships A-Z (other Federation vessels that aren't the USS Enterprise) - 12/24/21
- It's Been A Long Time... (Enterprise) - 12/31/21
- Trek Stars (regular, recurring, and guest actors on Trek) - 1/7/22
I've seen the first four. not sure why, but episodes 3 and 4 were new on the same day here in America, on Monday at 8 and 9 p.m. cst, so I've seen them. the movies one only goes up to star trek IV iirc. it may have V, but I'm pretty sure they didn't even mention the undiscovered country.I've watched the first two episodes of it, and it's pretty interesting. I watched 3 and 4 today. You're right that 4 only mentioned Wrath of Kahn, Search for Spock, and Voyage Home.I've seen the first four. not sure why, but episodes 3 and 4 were new on the same day here in America, on Monday at 8 and 9 p.m. cst, so I've seen them. the movies one only goes up to star trek IV iirc. it may have V, but I'm pretty sure they didn't even mention the undiscovered country.
maybe due to that being around when next gen was released. they may mention the last two movies of tos in the next episode. I know that Shatner directed 5, and it was only his second movie to direct. as you know, it's considered one of the worst trek movies too. lol
TNG started airing before the other TOS movies, so I'm sure they will be mentioned in the next episode.maybe due to that being around when next gen was released. they may mention the last two movies of tos in the next episode. The Final Frontier is quite awful, but I only find it mildly worse than The Motion Picture.
haha, the motion picture. I read a star trek book that said v'ger was the origin of the borg, then another said they came about from a scientist, the borg queen now, on some planet thousands of years ago.
Maybe it was the synthetic species from Star Trek: Picard that made V'ger.haha, the motion picture. I read a star trek book that said v'ger was the origin of the borg, then another said they came about from a scientist, the borg queen now, on some planet thousands of years ago.
Here in german language Countries the Series starts today....Not sure what happened but center seat is no longer listed on cable where I live. You can see the rest on history's vault except for episodes 7 and 9.
I think I can watch those 4 episodes, but I'm going to wait until my mother is up. Been sick for 2 days, sleeping all day, finally feeling better. It's 2 in the morning here, and I'm not very tired, so I may stay up all night.

@Lacius @Alexander1970 , I found out why there's only four episodes shown here. the other six are on the history channel's streaming service. I set up the show on sonarr, so it should download automatically once it's upped (using three indexers), already tried manually searching for (found the first four episodes easily). episode 5 was on yesterday, but it hasn't been upped yet:

I'm very much looking forward to Strange New Worlds.I forgot to mention this, but there's a new star trek series (not sure when it comes out) about captain Christopher Pike. I have that set up already:

The cast reveal showed Cadet Nyota Uhura will be in the show, which is great, and a character named La'an Noonien-Singh will also show up, presumably having some sort of relationship to Khan Noonien Singh. Strange New Worlds takes place before Khan Noonien Singh is thawed out, so it will be interesting to see what the nature of the relationship is.
