i think you are talking about monster rancher, there was no monster hunter for the ds afaik.

also if you liked kingdom hearts you have one on the console... and you can always play the 2 others from the ds

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Zelda: OoT
Kid Icarus (for a once over!)

Donkey Kong CR 3D. Wow the platforming is brutal and outstanding graphics for a 3DS game.
Kid Icarus Uprising
Fire Emblem Awakening
Resident Evil Revelation
Mario Kart 7

Overall I say Zelda oot 3D and Kid Icarus uprising really blew my mind away. Top two in my pick.

Pokemon X and Y would probably top that list.

1) Monster Hunter 3U - it's pretty long, and pretty fun. There's a steep learning curve, but...nope.
2) Luigi's Mansion 2 - Like playing an actiony puzzler.
3) Mario Kart 7
4) Animal Crossing New Leaf!
