Taxman Sonic decompilation developer makes tool that allows you to level edit all Retro Engine games
Rubberduckycooly--the user behind the decomplications of Christian Whitehead's Sonic mobile ports--is back. They've created a new tool for Retro Engine games that can customize a massive variety of details within them. The program is called RetroED, and compiles the features of multiple Retro Engine specific tools that have been rendered outdated or nonfunctional, along with some of its own new capabilities. This allows you to edit game levels by changing and modifying their configs, scenes, and layouts of any of the Taxman Sonic games. RetroED isn't currently released, but is planned to be available before the end of 2021, and will work on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Hot off the heels of the decompilations, @rmg_rich and I have been making an all-in-one editor for Retro Engine games called RetroED! This tool can edit almost anything from a GameConfig to a palette or even complete scene! pic.twitter.com/le0gree1Dq
