I love that people here say this update was a worthless AP update. they updated all the IOS WL modules

probably an update to driver.
most places think driver updates are a good thing...

strange, i came home yesterday, and the tray on my wii was flashing, so i start it up, it fucking updated xD

forgot to set the settings in prii, after i updated it.

weirdest part is, everything still works ^^

hbc, wiiflow, al function as normal, good update ninty xd

dami

I couldn't update trough the official process, so I updated to 4.3 with modmii, and updated officially to this "minor update". Now that I have a clean wii I just rehack it!

I really hope there'll be a new update in the near future with new features.

well all it did was update some IOS's, nothing big.
priiloader is still there as the system menu was untouched.

Can anyone tell me how to change IOS/cIOS revision? Which tool should i use?
Just get the IOS/cIOS you want from ModMII and install with a wad manager.
I want to max out some IOS to rev 65535, so they can't be overwritten.

You can do that with Showmiiwads

No, I would say Showmiiwads is safe. I'm also using it to modify IOSes and it worked everytime on my wii. You could use bluedump to extract the IOS from your NAND and pack it to a wad.

So is it safe to install? my lil engine is 4.3 and CIOS 58

are there ANY actual benefeits with the update? or is it a HBC attack?

Unfortunately, all the GHWT, GH5, Band Hero DLC hacks depend on a specific version of IOS56 (v5146) plus it has to be the cIOScorp 3.6 version. If I update IOS56 to the latest I lose these hacks. Oh well, the Wii Shop channel is useless anyways.

Edited: I figured out now that you don't need cIOScorp at all even though it will work. Instead, you can just use Dop-Mii to download the latest IOS56 and put all three patches on it. The DLC hacks work fine with that method too.

i have darkcorps 1.1 so i don't think you should have a problem but let me check and get back to you.

I believe when I tried the Darkcorps 1.1 version of IOS56, those DLC hacks no longer worked so I had to revert back to the cIOScorp 3.6 version but let me know if it works for you. Plus the IOS56 in Darkcorp 1.1 is now no longer the most updated IOS56 necessary for the new Shop Channel v20 as of this latest Nintendo update.

No. You do not want DarkCrap.
Not the whole thing. Just that one IOS is needed.

By the way, does anyone here know how to manually add the rev14 DIP module to IOS56 which I believe is what cIOScorp 3.6 is? I believe with DarkCorp 1.1, they used the rev17 DIP module added to the previously latest IOS56.

True, but the version number would be maxed out to 65535, so Shop Channel error 002 should not happen, if that is what you are thinking about.

I did not know this. I should try it out, have you? I always thought the shop channel required something specific in the updated IOS and not just looking at the version number. Also, the IOS56 in cIOScorp 3.6 is also maxed out to 65535, so should that also work with the new Wii shop channel?
