I didn't test it on any Wii. I have never used anything Waninkoko has made, and don't really intend to either. Only possible exception would be WAD Manager for custom channels. Anyway, I'm getting off topic.mike333 said:Thanks for testing it on wii.SifJar said:which means, when that IOS is loaded, HW_AHBPROT will be set for HW access from PPC. Not that the installer works using HW_AHBPROT.

Won't work for fakesigned titles, which would include custom channels.Arm the Homeless said:http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WadImportSifJar said:...Only possible exception would be WAD Manager for custom channels...
What affect this or any update will have on your Wii depends on your current Wii state. Any FW (firmware) files that are missing or are older than what Nintendo has on there servers will get updated.SargeSmash said:Only thing I really want to know is if it's safe to update normally. The only thing I'm running is the newest Homebrew Channel (1.0.8) and BootMii installed in boot2. And I have a backup of my NAND, which should reflect everything but my current progress in Other M. Does it wipe those, or does it work pretty much like the update that was on the Other M disc?
I'm waiting for an updated Dop-Mii, non-WiiBrew branch of courseNITROFOX said:waninkoko where ware you, please make a new firm update wan =x
Oh, you're such a non-pirate.....ChuckBartowski said:Just updated my IOS56 and Shop Channel, working fine on 4.2.
EDIT: Using DOPMii WiiBrew Edition of course.
Nah, just used it because i dont know why.... But on a side note, it seems to install titles faster than other solutions do.PPSainity said:Oh, you're such a non-pirate.....ChuckBartowski said:Just updated my IOS56 and Shop Channel, working fine on 4.2.

The latest HBC (Homebrew Channel) version, 1.0.8, should survive the update as the SM (System Menu) has not been updated to delete the new Title ID for it yet. Whether or not BootMii installed as Boot2 will get overwritten will depend on what you Boot2 version is. If you have a version of Boot2 earlier than Boot2v4 then your Boot2 will get updated and the BooMii patch will get overwritten.
If you do not know what state your Wii NAND is in, you can either use SysCheck to generate a report and decide whether or not to update via Nintendo's method, or update your Wii manually using a program like ModMii.

if bootmii in boot2 is wiped, just run the hbc installer to install it again.SargeSmash said:Only thing I really want to know is if it's safe to update normally.
