Custom UMD Vidoes

Back in the day when PSPISOS forum was active some members were converting DVDs into UMD Video with extra scenes all menus languages and subtitles you know not a simple MP4 and single subtitle.

I had the guide they made in pdf format somewhere but cant find it anymore, any chance one of you still keep it?

When this forum went offline a good amount of PSP source and material lost actually everyone warned about that and people backuped what they need but such things should be done not with personal effort many different person.

I don't have the guide, but UMD Stream Composer seemed to be what was used back then.

I have the guide, and I'm in the process of bringing back custom umd movies to life in 2022, modifying the procedures using windows 10. So far I've learn how to create the movie, edit the scene times, the title, the xmb wallpaper, icon, video icon, background music, I'm about to Tinker with the umd menus, relying on my prior experience with RCOs in CTF themes, along with my experience in making pmf gameboots. I may even tinker with alternative audio languages and subtitles also.

i was part of the scene back when it was alive, i still make them occasionally, i use a pc with windows 7 couldnt get many of the programs to work on windows 10
i have the guide somewhere and and in depth guide from another custom umd movie creator, i'll have a look around for it somehere

i use the pal and ntsc versions still to this day to make them

It seems some things are missing especially regarding the NTSC conversion. Can someone outline the steps needed to convert NTSC video or upload the missing pages? There isn't a lot of streamlined tutorials for this online and it's not easy to come along with this information, so any help would be appreciated.

Hi rabid, has been a while. Not sure if you remember me, you taught me back in the days in creating custom umd videos. I recently tried doing one again on windows 11 and it works for me. I had to create a UPLe program from scratch to start getting chapter timings right again though.

Hope all is well? My recent test umd video I worked on was for Oppenheimer (although had to create this as a dual umd iso)

Can you do show season? If yes could you do like aqua teen hunger force? Its s bummer only vol. 4 got a release and ive been trying to find someone who made those but no luck

Do it yourself, why are you asking somebody else to do it for you? That's pure incompetence. If you read the guide thoroughly, you can surely get things the way you want it to. PSP modding has come a long way, mate.

Laptops are cheap on second-hand marketstores like Facebook. Thrift stores might be another alternative if you're lucky. Depends on what you're really after.

Not everyone can afford such things, perhaps they live somewhere remotely or simply cannot afford such products...

Me and my family are moving to another city and barely paying the bills, and thrift stores here sell clothes only, anything really cheap i can find is sold for parts

I see. You can perhaps ask another forum (similar to PSPISO) to ask someone if they can create a custom movie for you, just not here since it's considered piracy.

Yes, it's even easier to convert than doing the PAL conversion
The pages are not missing, this guide was originally made for me by QRO, i'll sort something out for you

Yes show season's can de done, you have to reduce the quality a bit to reduce file size down custom UMD's can only be 2GB max, in size, i have made a few customs with multiple episodes on them.
Sorry i can't make a custom at the moment as i'm struggling to get one of the programs to work on Windows 11.
My old PC not set up to run yet , not had the time.
