What tool should I use to patch wads myself?
Again, I don't ask for the files, just for the tools to patch dip7 or maybe 6 in them.

IS the only way to get me diles from the servers and use the multi cios installer?

There are 2 steps:
1. The system menu has to recognize backups
done with patching the system menu to use IOS249, or recommend, replace the dip from IOS30 with the one from your cIOS

2. If you now launch a game from the disc channel the IOS specified in the tmd from the game is loaded, if you don't understand what the result of this is, you shouldn't do this.

I don't think we should be telling anybody to patch the System Menu to IOS249 anymore. Didn't we decide it was so much safer just to use the cIOS30 at IOS30 so somebody doesn't accidently remove their IOS249 and end up bricked?

Ether did the IOS16 already i think. It just isn't in the Package. That's the 1 IOS that I haven't replaced on my System.

Yea, im satisfied with how it looks. Wish it was a little smaller but what the hell... made from a cheap $15.00 wireless gamecube controller.

And I bet most people read the post and thought I was just stoned and rambling again. But when I did proof of concept last night and it worked beyond my expectations I just had to do a final build on it today.

I think the general opinion was that poeple should use Cios30 at IOS30 and not to patch the system menu at all.

This should result in the least amounts of potential bricks (hopefully)

Ether did cIOS16 - but is there any merit to have a CIOS in its place?

I might get the thread and turorial made tonight after the football game. I'm probably gonna make a video for youtube, showing the functionality of the
full cIOS hack and autoloader combo. Will probably be tomorrow evening before the youtube video is done though. BTW, you like the Wii Stuntmen pic i made?

I believe they run at 6X because if I'm correct, the drive chip detects the type of disc and if it's an original uses 6x. If i'm wrong I'm sure we'll hear it very soon.

On my system i haven't noticed any slowdown of regular discs as they still seem to load 5-10 seconds faster then their backup.

10,16,18,21,23,24,25,26,27,29,32 and 39-52 are the only original IOS's i currently have.
Can Does the multi-cios installer allow me to patch these too?
and is there any benefit of patching these IOS's aswell?

Here s the Wireless Receiver. You can see the Connect button on the botton of the side of it.

This shows me holding it up, It's wireless after all.

A Shot for Size Comparison. It's so big because I put the whole guts of a Wireless Gamecube controller in there, leaving all the controls intact in case I need to modify it to use other buttons or directions.

And Finally, the Dongle/Receiver unplugged.

I wonder if anyone could point out the procedure from the beginning to the end, step by step.

I'm not asking for files here, I just wanna know exactly what this all does and how it is done.

Hrmmmm.... procedure..... lemme see.....

1. Install cIOS9-55 from the wad files in the zip

that pretty much covers it. All IOS replaced by CIOS with Dip7 module. All originals and 1:1 copies act as originals. Except for copies still running 3x. Out of Region still has to be launched with rebooter or from Gamma or SoftChip.

I think we'll get around to making an official procedure soon. It hasn't spread too far yet but it's looking pretty stable. Nobody has reported problems of any type that I know of.

I laughed my ass off when I got home from work and saw that!

I think I am gonna nudge a buddy of mine to see if he wants to start a thread with some descent explaining and what you'll need to do this.. before this blows up someone's Wii whilst installing CIOSCORP.

Why not contact Waninkoko (or any other dev familiar with coding and patching IOS') to write up an installer which can be run from HBC.

This way some checks can be added for more safety. Plus the accidental brick by noobs not doing it right will occur less.

Just from the top of my hat. The IOS downgrader is almost the app we need. Instead of inserting the trucha bug in the IOS' it needs to insert the dip.
Hell it even downloads the needed IOS' from ninty's servers.

Please disregard this post if I'm talking crap or if someones already coding such an installer.

I change WiiPower's MulticIOS installer so you can now add DIP7 to your IOS between 9 and 249 (except 30 cause of the protection wich maybe I take out) but not exactly is the same IOS patched, it is either IOS33 -36 -37 -55 DIP7'd and placed in the IOS you want (9 to 249), and it works well...!!!

Are all the IOS's the exact same code or what? how come you can put another IOS in it's place and it works?
any who is there any reason to install the IOS's in the previous post?
