So I just heard about this and I had to do research and see if this was something I hadn't heard of or if this was brand new. Turns out its brand new! YouTuber BudFolk today published two videos to YouTube, this one showing off the game itself and this separate one uploaded apparently because this separate video is it running on real hardware whilst the first video is in an emulator. Research led me to this thread on AtariAge talking about a port of SM64 to the Atari Jaguar and the newest post on this thread are the two videos, the second of which I found via this thread. The first I found via YouTube's algorithm.

Apparently according to the video description of the first video, the developer does not intend to release this project, at least that's my understanding personally. He wrote: "The ROM will not be released, and nothing from this project is or will be distributed." How he did this apparently was from scratch, without the use of AI, stating "The engine is written from scratch in pure assembly," and that four areas of the game were specifically rebuilt to make use of the Jaguar's two RISC processors, those being Bob-omb Battlefield, the castle grounds, Tiny-Huge Island and the castle’s ground floor.

I have no photos or anything to share, just the YouTube links but this project is insane. I'd love to get thoughts on it.

Saw the video they posted of them playing it on a physical Atari Jaguar. Looks pretty legit to me (though I could be fooled). If it is real, it's super impressive. Weird that the ROM won't be shared, though. I guess in fear of legal trouble, since it's just SM64?

They posted a new video yesterday saying they'd release a converter where you put your own ROM in and it gives you a Jaguar ROM
