SX Core and SX Lite being shipped to reviewers and testers, retail packaging revealed

SXCoreSXLite.png

TX have today announced they have shipped out samples of both their SX Core and SX Lite modchips to the previously selected reviewers and testers.[prebreak][/prebreak]
  • SX Core is compatible with all Switch regular models, whether they are Mariko, patched or unpatched.
  • SX Lite is for all Switch Lite.
  • All firmwares are supported for both regular and lite versions.
  • SX OS license is included with both models.
As we indicated before, both products require soldering. With the help of that large panel of reviewers, we will finetune installation diagrams, correct any bug they might encounter so you have a great experience with our product from day 1.

We are proud of the hard work behind these products and we also can't wait to ship to retailers so all Team Xecuter supporters can enjoy a fully unlocked Switch regardless of the model they have.

If you can solder, we recommend placing your preorder now as demand will be massive (but don't worry, just for May we have already large stocks ready to ship).

If you are not comfortable with soldering, please wait for a installer near you to receive stocks so he can install it for you. Installers will also offer pre-installed consoles so you have all ready at once if you do not own a Switch yet.
Unfortunately for the less experienced modders, some soldering will be required, but we should hopefully have more information as reviewers and testers receive their samples. Until then, TX reminds you to stay safe and get ready to enjoy, releasing some exciting pictures of the retail packaging!

You know full well why people are saying that. The firmware requirement.
No, I don't. Can you only do it on an older firmware? When I did it they were saying you should be able to do it on newer firmware soon and that was a while ago.

I don't know who you heard that from. Patched units past 4.1 ish ( don't remember the exact update) have been stuck on vanilla firmware for a good while.

Looking forward to receiving and installing this.
I'm also looking forward to an influx of messages from people who have tried DIY installs themselves with an iron from their local pound shop (dollar store).

If you want to do cheap DIY soldering just use a battery and a paperclip. Paperclips are like the ultimate multi tool when hacking a Nintendo Switch.

I don't understand why people keep saying things like this. I have a patched Switch. I soft modded it a while ago. It wasn't hard.

Maybe you've got a patched unit on <4.1.0.
Above that, patched unit (and Lite, of course) are unhackable.

I wonder if it comes with an instruction manual
It can't come without it.
They literally have never said where and how this modchip must be soldered, so it's not like you can just sell it and expect people to put it in the right place, in the right way.

I'm not super confident on my soldering skills so I think I'll wait for the solderless version.

Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
