So I am currently running version 6.1, and I use Reinx CFW loaded with a R4S dongle.

Can somebody give me step by step instructions to have the same setup but with 6.2?

I can't seem to find a guide that uses reinx, thanks in advance.

I'm currently on 5.1.0 no CFW, nothing. Want to install CFW, shall I upgrade first to 6.2.0 and then do everything?
I want to do this, because I want to unlink my Nintendo Acc from the switch, to use it later with a OFW switch.

I was able to unlick my nintendo account from my switch when I factory reseted it. Not sure if there are other methods.

it's unlinked already via nintendo website, but not on the console itself. Is there any benifit if I upgrade to 6.2.0 because hu24ebr wants to upgrade? :) thanks for your help

edit:
factory reset, doesn't work because he wants to upgrade the software.
If I delete the internet connection, then he says "if I do a reset, I never be able to connect with my account to the eShop again"

Ok now, I restore my clean backup via Hekate(restored the rawnand.bin backup, boot0 and boot1), now I go to try to go online.

Hi all,

I'm using FW 5.1.0 and sx os 1.3 or 1.4 I forgot.

I'm planning to install the latest version of sx os for emunand. Can I ask why do we need to first upgrade our official firmware to latest?

And if I upgrade it to the latest, wouldn't sx os not being able to support it at the moment?

Is there a guide for the partition of the sd card for EMUNAND?

So, I've hacked my Switches, but I can't connect to the homebrew app store when I have the DNS set to specific IP addresses. Is it safe to change the DNS settings from Manual to Automatic when accessing the hb app store?

What DNS settings are you using?

Personally I recommend 90dns (here) as it blocks all nintendo servers but still allows access to ftp and hbappstore

If you are using 90dns and having an issue, I would like to know so we can get to the bottom of it

Well for ReiNX, the guide is located here but the build for 6.2 support can be found here.

You can only unlink the account if you format the console as explained on their website but its better to have one linked than not to have one at all because some applications need a linked account to work such as the NES app or the game Pianista. Plus Nintendo primarily bans consoles, not accounts.

You don't need to update your firmware, or at least SysNAND, to the latest to use EmuNAND. And as of SX OS V2.4, they support firmware 6.2 which is the latest. As for a guide, here is one found on GBATemp.

I had to miss the end of that guide on at the red writing about booting cfw.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/backup-...-your-biskeys-tseckeys-keys-txt-guide.513386/

I then just setup up my emuNAND so I missed the last few files at the bottom.

I’m gonna need ur help mate I tried to do that guide for 2days I couldn’t finish it due to me setting emuNAND up I got confused weather to finish the whole guide.

Will u be able to help me mate finish it?

SX OS' Stealth Mode should be able to take care of that since it blocks all Nintendo-related connections. Just enable it and setup your Wi-Fi settings.

Should I also do the 90DNS server as well, or do think that stealth mode is enough?

  1. Unless you want to use FTP, which is pretty slow, or utilize Switch LAN Play, you don't need Wi-Fi settings. Otherwise, 90DNS is your best way to stay offline while being online
  2. That is currently the best guide out there
  3. What is more important is ensuring the SD card is not fake as those have been running rampant in the scene. Although its nearly impossible to distinguish between a real and fake SD card before purchase, a good rule of thumb is that if its too good to be true, it usually is
  4. CFW is just a bunch of files on the SD card. For every SD card you use, if you are planning to use CFW with them, put the respective files on that SD card
  5. USB installation of .NSP files and splitting of .XCI files. You can split and network install .NSP files as well, but USB install is the recommended way to go as its the fastest option even compared to regular installation
  6. Some games are less than 1 GB and others are larger than 20
  7. What I do is I have my Switch plugged in when I turn it off to check if I turned it off properly. If it no longer shows up as an APX device, I knew I was successful
  8. Firmwares are temporary but fuses are forever; there is nothing wrong with more options. Deja Vu may not be the only exploit for lower firmwares. Plus its relatively easy to update without burning fuses.
  9. Firmware is irrelevant in the Switch scene as the serial number will determine if the unit is patched or not since the exploit revolves around the hardware
  10. Unfortunately if you cannot find an unpatched unit, then Deja Vu becomes your only option. Although there should be plenty of unpatched units that are available as used online such as on eBay and Amazon
  11. Yes
  12. https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-switch-warez-others-on-gbatemp.513008/

There is a possibility that the warmboot exploit that works on firmwares 4.1 and below may be coming out soon but since it will initially be limited to homebrew, its still better to find an unpatched unit.

So, in other words there is some hope/reason to stick on the current firmware and just wait? Sucks I won't be able to play smash yet ....

Currently using (ReinX guide's) tinfoil to install Mario + rabbit kingdom battle, im struggling with large NSPs/XCIs so far so I'm trying a smaller NSP and appears to be installing fine

What are the advantages with kosmos tinfoil and does anyone have the link to it, thanks

Also, it says a system update is required to play Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, what do I have to do to get round this? Thanks

EDIT: Ok, I selected yes on the "Ignore required firmware when installing" and it worked sweet!!!! Thanks guys

Im still struggling with bigger NSPs like Super mario odyssey, Super smash bros Ultimate but I've got smaller ones running now :D

Stealth Mode is sufficient alone.

Well you can update your firmware without burning fuses which will allow you to downgrade back to 4.1 if and when Deja Vu is fully released but even when it is, it will still be impossible to play games that require higher firmwares such as Smash.

Hi, I extracted my switch keys back when it was on OFW 2.2.0.
Now it is on OFW 5.1 running the latest ReiNX.
Do I need to re-extract my keys of the same keys still work?

The only keys that change between firmwares are the master keys. If you're going to be converting/extracting newer games or using ChoiDujour (not ChoiDujourNX) to convert newer firmwares, then yes. Otherwise, all of the other keys remain the same on higher firmwares.
