What's the best way to FTP into the Switch? I've tried connecting with the ftp app and my Android (Solid Explorer) and have been unsuccessful connecting to the Switch. Whats the best method to FTP to a Switch on 5.0.2?
This is so far the only FTP tool for the Switch:
https://github.com/WinterMute/ftpd/releases/tag/v2.2.0-c58e527c-switch There have been some issues reported with 5.0.2 that involve downloading so if you run into any, don't be too surprised.
I've tried DNS blocking and that doesn't work. Do I have to do any permanent modifications to my Switch to use Gag Order? I'm trying to hold off on anything too permanent till the warranty ends. If it isn't, how would I go about using it? I don't understand most of the terms on it.
Thank you!
To use Gag Order, you will have to enter RCM on your Switch which will involve shorting pin 10 on the right-hand Switch rail then sending a payload.bin via the USB port on the Switch. Shorting pin 10 means connecting it to something grounded such as pin 1 with a piece of metal. From there, it will load you into a CFW that will allow you to go into the homebrew menu to launch Gag Order. This entire hack is lost upon turning the Switch off so it doesn't make any permanent modifications to your Switch. However, Gag Order does not always run properly so it will create error reports that Nintendo may eventually see and decide to ban you (this is speaking purely hypothetically because we only have one confirmed case out of thousands so chances are low for a ban but still).
When Tethered Coldboot releases on June 15th, will it be safe to update?

Firstly, the tethered coldboot is already out and it is called Fusee Gelee. I believe you are referring to the CFW, Atmosphere. If not, feel free to correct me or request further clarification. As of right now, the latest system update doesn't seem to produce any problems with Atmosphere. Of course, this is under the assumption that Nintendo won't produce any more system updates between now and Atmosphere's release. Not to mention that when you refer to updating, it will be in reference to EmuNAND as SysNAND should no longer be updated once EmuNAND is working.
So I got a 2.1.0 Firmware switch. So far, I have pegaswitch, But i heard about a method of being able to load the HBL through android, I was wondering if the method would work on that firmware, I havent really been able to find any information whether it works or not.
Yes, it's an app called NXLoader. However, we lack a concise guide that uses NXLoader.
Follow this tutorial here. The part where it mentions TegraSmash is instead replaced with NXLoader. When you Google NXLoader, it should bring you to the GitHub page that will give you full instructions on how NXLoader is used. When you get to the part where it mentions to download Hekate for 4.x or 5.x, you will use this version of
Hekate that supports all firmwares.
