What do you mean? My firmware is 18. It asks if I wanna update the game itself.

Latest firmware is 19.0.0 if you didn't block server communication it might explain that why you getting the update.

I used the rentry guide to set up CFW and update occasionally over the past few years. Now that it is gone, what is the most well trusted guide for people who previously used it? I can update myself from memory of how it is done without issues but to be cautious I always prefer to follow a trusted guide incase there are any changes or important things to know. I would prefer not to use archived rentry anymore as it is no longer updated. I plan on updating when the latest atmosphere pre release is made full. I do see there is a guide linked here at gbatemp already and that is probably fine to use but have always been paranoid and extremely cautious about this so wanted to ask if that is what people are using and recommend.

Switch.hacks.guide Is the most reputable guide that is still updated routinely. It predates the GBATemp and rentry guides.

Hi there! A new update of Nintendo Switch has been released and my modded Switch also asks for it. Has the CFW for that version released yet? Does anyone know?

You are in luck as Atmosphere support for firmware 19.0 just dropped earlier today. Download version 1.8 from its official GitHub page here.

So i mistakenly pressed update as I was booting up the game and upon booting up the switch again, I ran to an error: unknown pkg1 version. I updated atmosphere, hekate, and sigpatches but after doing all these, i currently have the

Failed to apply nosigchk and Failed to launch HOS errors. To update, I just copy and pasted the extracted files to the switch. Please help this poor guy out.

Did you download the latest patches from this thread?

Have a modded oled on fw 18.1.0 and atmosphere 1.7.1 and sigpatches with emu nand. Everything been working fine and then suddenly today when trying to launch sysnand, get this error: Unknown pkg1 version. HOS version not supported. If I launch it, it just hangs.

When trying to launch emunand get this error: failed to match warmboot with fuses, if you continue sleep won't work.

How to fix this?

may be your SD Card got corrupted, test it on your PC and reinstall Hekate and Atmosphère

You sure it is 18.1.0 ? HOS version not supported means the firmware is higher than the build of atmosphere you are using.

Double check, HOS version not supported usually mean newer firmware, older version of atmosphere, when it come to pkg1.

every once and again someone ask the same, and the answer is:

THERE WILL BE NEVER A SOFT HACK FOR SWITCH, being technically correct, NEVER WAS, the «soft» hack for the V1 is a error on the hardware no the software, the HOS is almost perfect on the security side. and the cartdrige is isolated using a external hardware reader, so no entry point on the cartdrige.

I haven't been around during the first days of Switch, but weren't Nereba and Caffeine software-only exploits back in the day?
EDIT: Isn't your Switch on a low enough firmware? I remember reading your guide on setting up PegaScape or something...
