I bought a second switch and now I am trying to hack my old one. I followed the NH switch guide and I tried the method of soldering pins 9 and 10 together, which I found very difficult since the pins are ridiculously small (there is also a tiny amount of solder touching pin 8 which I couldnt get off, not sure if that affects anything). I would have done pins 7 and 10 but I don't have a resistor. However, when I start my switch it just starts normally. The soldering did do something; the right joycon is always in wireless mode but it still works. So now I sort of need a push in the right direction since I'm not sure what I did wrong. Should I just start over with a new joycon (or is it ruined and am I forced to buy a new one)? What would be the best method and what type of wire (or resistor) should I use (and where can I get it)? Any advice is appreciated.

better try to de-solder it using the guide from ifixit dot com.
