I have a V1 Switch where I replaced the charging port because it had bent pins. After replacing the port, I tested it with a tail insertion tester and it gave me good readings on each pin.

When I use the tester with the console powered on, it gives me OL on pins 7, 8 and 18.

The console can be charged and works docked, but the data connection doesn't work trough usb, when I put the console in RCM mode and connect it to the pc with a usb data cable, it does not get recognized by the pc in TegraRCMGUI.

Other things that I noticed is that console gives me an "unable to charge" message if I connect it to the pc with an usb cable, and the screen starts flashing/blinking randomly when I plug in the charger.

Any ideas what could be wrong and what should I try next? (I have already replaced the port twice)

I presume this isn't your own Switch.
There might be other issues besides those bent pins.

Easiest check : Does the dock have video output?
If so, then all your data lines should be working because the video signal is sent over the same pins.
USB-C numbers pins with A1-A12 abd B1-B12.
Your tester might indicate that 2 datalines are not working properly.
If you have a cheap-ass cable, only 1 side might be connected.

The SBU signal might not be used.

If the dock has no video out signal then maybe check the emi filters first.
Those are there to go first in case of a short.
They are just coils, connected top to bottom so you should measure continuity.

Next thing to check is whether fast charging is working on the dock with the original adapter.
That flickering might be caused by the charger trying to go to fast charging (15v) and back to 5V because the Switch didn't properly respond to it.

I have mentioned in my original post that console works docked, meaning it has video out and it charges.

I have also tested the charging with an usb tester, and it shows me that it is constantly drawing 15V from the charger, it does not jump between 5V and 15V.

I have tried with original Nintendo USB cable also, and I still cant get the pc to detect it in TegraRCMGUI (after putting the console in RCM mode).
I have also tried to connect it to an Android phone with the Rekado app, and the phone does not detect the console either.
