The game is too easy. There isn't enough variety in attacks. It got repetitive quickly.

TWEWY is still my top pick for best action-RPG on the DS.
Have you tried the cheats Narin put to supposedly make it harder? >_>

...you're right though...it does look a bit boring and repetitive after a while...

The developers of this game just missed out on a real opportunity to create a truly great adventure rpg in the same class as TWEWY, Zelda:PH, and Final Fantasy CCRoF. Instead, they created a pretty good game that gets old quickly. It's a shame to waste such creative artwork and solid, innovative touchscreen controls.

Okay, I'm level 95, after doing repeated runs of Aphelion. I have all skills for both characters (axe with Aldo owns everything in sight: Just use Spin Crash and everything dies within seconds.) I have Admonisher for Aldo, Octiron Rod for Reiha, and Hero Tights for both characters. I've done EVERYTHING it seems there is to do in the game, and yet my Bestiary is not complete. It's pissing me off, and I want to know what's up.

Anyone?

New Game+ exclusives? Meaning LOL U HAS TO DO IT AGEN. Of course, I'm not so sure myself. Mines is also incomplete as well and I'm doing those easy-as-heck Aphelion runs too.

The 'cutscenes' in this game are horrible, too much boring text to read, and without the option to skip it..

I've finished yesterday the first ex dungeon. Oh my god, it's so boring:
Shine Viper -> Shine Viper -> Shine Viper -> SP Charge -> Repeat, until the end of the dungeon. Then Craft new weapons/armors and do the same thing in the next dungeon. At least in the story the dialogues keep my interest up, the story was pretty simple, but i enjoyed (is it spelled right?) it

Soooo.....you think summon night is repetitive? true i'll agree it is somewhat the case, but you can't honestly think TWEWY isn't just as repetitive.....

Hey guys I'm new to this forum so I didn't know where to ask these kinds of questions so I figured the thread for the game would be appropriate. So here goes: I have an M3 DS Simply and everytime I try to load Summon Night: Twin Age it says: Warning The save data could not be accessed. Please turn the power OFF and reinsert the DS Card. I also had this same problem with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Super Robot Taisen OG Mugen no Frontier. Though with SRTOG the mesage comes up in japanese but i think it's the same cause it comes up the same way.

So if anybody could help me out with this I would really appreciate it.

TWEWY can be repetitive, but it's not in the same class as Summon Night.

TWEWY lets you choose your battles. You don't really need to fight anything except bosses.
TWEWY gives you excellent control of your difficulty - you can feel challenged. The optional bosses are a real PITA.
TWEWY lets you customize your attack strategy by offering a large variety of attack methods.
TWEWY has a better storyline and better BGM.

With Summon Night, you have the same battles over and over, and you can't skip them. You end up using the same skills over and over, and the skills are NOT varied enough to be interesting. (FFCC is a notch above, but it still runs into the same problems.) Finally, the game is insanely easy.

I can't see myself wasting precious hours of my life on SN:TW when there are so many better games to play.

I'll give twewy a shot. I played it before and got bored but maybe its because i didn't get further into the game

Well you also repeat days with TWEWY,(story was ok I guess)but I guess summon night would have been better if they made it like the gba games then maybe it would appeal a bit more.....

Actually, I thought that SN:TA suffered the same problems as the GBA version - repetitive combat. The combat style changed, but not enough was done to mix things up.

IMO every aspect of TWEWY is better than Summon Night. I've got 35 hours in this game so far, and I am still trying out new pin combinations, different difficulty levels and perfecting the top screen combat by using the advance techniques like dodges and blocks (before I used to just spam right or left).

I got sick of Summon Night. The battle against Phicra was such a ridiculous change in difficulty, that I didn't want to go back and grind. In TWEWY I actually enjoy level grinding, the combat is fun and hectic.

I stopped with TWEWY coz i thought the game already ended, i played like 7 hours or something
Maybe i am wrong?
I was by the point the game master showed up with that boy(white hair)

I like it but without an instruction booklet, some RPG's become more complicated then they should be.

I was stuck for a while trying to add items to my quick list and I still can't figure out how to upgrade my skills. I need to spend more time with the game but I do enjoy playing it a lot

I just finished Summon Nights and can't get rid of the nagging feeling that I have just wasted 16 hours of my life on the most repetitive game ever with incredibly unimaginative dungeons.

...

I want all that time back!
