Firstly to start off I wanna say this is in no way a promotion for my youtube channel, but rather just a general question I want to ask other gamers (non derogatory) I've been wondering about for a while now.

A little backstory, I've been doing gaming youtube content for around half a year now and one of the things I always struggle with is the format and how to keep it fresh and new rather than essentially just remaking content that others make.
Personally I feel that I hardly find gaming content worth watching at this point and so I want to do my best to try to distinct myself from the crowd.

Generally speaking I feel that most gaming content that I see now falls into one of several categories: game analysis/essay, playthroughs (although that's become less popular over all), or challenge runs; And I think that for the most part that shit has just been exhausted.

So here are the two question I have for other people who like to watch gaming content on youtube:
1. Who are some gaming youtubers you feel genuinely have a unique style that's refreshing to watch?
2. What are some styles/formats of content you feel you don't see enough, but wish you did?

I personally have been making sort of highly edited, high effort play-through (I guess would be the most fitting term?) videos of a variety of games that I personally have interest in (everything from the original fallout games to all capital G Gamer's favourite 3D platformer: Bubsy 3D),
where I try to have actually good story telling, comedy and live action bits interspersed to keep things fresh.
And personally I really like the type of content I do, but seeing as these videos aren't particularly doing well (which I know in part is due to the fact that "making it" on youtube is just a long ardous journey), it sort of makes me question whether or not other people are really interested in this type of content.
Again, I am not trying to promote myself in anyway, just genuinely wanted to hear other people's opinion on the matter which could hopefully help organize my brain a bit.

I don't know how to wrap this post up so I'll do it the way you do with an email

Thanks in advanced,
Me.

Honestly?

More walkthroughs of older games like PS1 and previous. There's a huge lot of us that could use those. Also, a vision of mine is to take some of these gaming streamers that play things like Fornite and Call of Duty and have them try to clear the hardest games of all time like Ninja Gaiden, Contra (WITHOUT the 30 lives code), Ikari Warriors, etc. They are elite and "pwn the n00bz" in modern games, but let's see them try to do that on games we grew up with that were the epitome of "git gud".

Nope.. contra and ninja gaiden are easy games to boot. I've already done those games for my YT channel. Ikari Warriors may be tough to do but the arcade ikari warriors is harder than the console versions. Not many people can get the 1 credit clear. If someone wants a real challenge the guardian legend nes, mig-29 soviet fighter nes, and even nam-1975 arcade are all tough contenders. Speaking of Ninja Gaiden though there is the arcade version which is a beatemup called Shadow Warriors. That was definitely tougher than the ninja gaiden games on the NES.
