Hacking Starpatch compile problem

hello
i want compile the tool Stapatch 4.2.4
this is the error:

i can't start this tool
i have follow error ISFS Get FileStats Error -101

source code:
fstats *fs;
ret = ISFS_GetFileStats(fd,fs);

I believe the problem is you need to allocate memory to fs before calling ISFS_GetFileStats. I dunno what that means or how to do it, but thats what WiiPower said on the wiibrew forums when someone else had this same problem.
