I don't think it is necessarily better than the windows tool, but it does have some cool format options. You should check it out.

Edit: converting one card to 64k now to see if there is an improvement. There doesn't seem to be a downside, aside from having to do another format on a card with a limited amount of writes. Report back in 3hrs

Update: after formatting to fat 64k cluster, my boot time is now 9.8 sec

To recap, I started off at 15 sec
-removing emunand partition got me to 12 secs
-then following daxtsu & supster131 recommendation, got my boot time down to 9.5 sec

Using a sandisk 128 micro SD card (8 gigs free space)

Was worth it

I used MiniTool Partition Wizard Free to do the job which appears to do a quick format, only took a few seconds to format 64k

Okay, soooo gbatmep may need to adopt better forum policy as I posted early in the week. XDA implemented policies to prevent loosing talented devs.

And no offense to you guys, but I think the fans also need to be more sensitive towards what we put in writing I.e. pots like "which cfw OS the best", etc.

I agree with you Rei. You don't need this. It's a hobby- your hobby has become people's obsession which in turn puts demands on you that you may not wish to have.

Out of curiosity, am I the only one ITT still using (the now depreciated?) lesshax instead of "regular" menuhax for booting into ReiNand? Tried switching back to regular menuhax earlier and had far worse boot success rates (around 50% with menuhax 2.7 versus 95% with the modified 2.1 payload that lesshax uses).
