JTAG/RGH is both hardware.
With RGH being the most recent.

I doubt it.
If you've read it closely, the flaw was already discovered and has been known about for a long time.
Plenty of time for MS to patch it.

Besides, you first need to gain access to the CPU with the machine.

so while the author is not sure there may have been a game that shipped with the bug? does that mean that there may be a mechassault style exploit for the 360 that nobody ever uncovered? that be cool.

I doubt it.
Not to mention that you'd need R/W access as well.

Its not likely that an entirely soft-mod solution could be implemented using this, however it might be possible to combine this with some sort of hardware exploit (for writing to NAND) as another more stable option for troublesome boards that don't play nice with RGH (Xenon's, Zephyr's aka firestarters/space heaters lol). As much as I'd love to see another King Kong-esque hack for unsigned code on the 360, I'm not holding my breathe. You'd be more likely to win the lottery twice in a row lol. If something does come out of this (even if it requires hardware, which it likely will) that would be amazing either way <3

i believe slow down on the smc was attempted but was unsuccessful - hardware is still required.

It would be really cool to see something out of this. Not for piracy, but for homebrews like Emulators. Seeing NES/SNES/N64 being played in 720P or 1080P would be awesome!
I don't wanna risk damaging my Jasper motherboard by incorrectly soldering anything. To add more to it, I don't even know how to solder. I'm already prepared for any softmods that'll come out. Got a 120GB hdd, 3 flash drives, and tools to take it apart for a disc-swap method. (If needed)
Ruining my jasper would be terrible though, as it's always been my robot bff, XD

I don’t think the emulation is THAT bad. Mupen64 plays Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time, so I’m happy with it lol. FCE 0.6 works decent enough. SNES 360 works well enough, but omfg I’m tired of hearing Boom Boom Pow. And it could use some .xex porting. The Sega emulator is decent. Game boy stuff works.

Although the OG Wii does most of that better lol. Cheaper too.

PS1 games on PCSxr360 generally run better than on WiiSX. Other than that.... well shit. I can’t think of any other than that lol.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
