Just started playing Crime Lab and Murder in Venice yesterday and halfway through it keeps hanging and I'm not sure why

Are there any suggestions on what to do to fix it??

flash cart? firmware? specifics man cmon SPECIFICS!

iTouch DS. i'm not sure e exact version of e firmware but i updated mine earlier this year.
