Okay, so I've searched over the web a bit, and found some what they claim solderless solutions for the wii, but some of them are saying its limited to 3x speed. Can someone give me advice on getting the best solderless mod chip solution to run backups at full speed (6x)? Thanks.

The new flatcable chips are limited to 3x
if you want full speed, get one of the 'old style' drivechips. The wasabi seems to be nice.

Also, is there any limitation as to what wii it will run on. Like for example I got my wii at launch. Would it work with that? And also, is the install particularly hard. I am a pc builder, and ive modded other systems before like the 360.

UPDATE: Nvm, i just bought myself a solderless wiikey2. Thanks.
