sorry but what is meant by legal cIOSCORP? isn't the point of it to allow backups to play on the Wii, how can that be legal?

Well, the cIOSCORP package contains 20+ illegal WAD files. This method downloads the IOS from nintendo legally, and patches them to have the same DIP module as in cIOSCORP.

I'd still like to know what the issue with the lu64's are. I asked on the last page but i think it got lost in the flames.

The issue is that they crash whenever you try to run anything trucha-signed by any current method. What's hilarious is that TheNewMouse claimed that SoftMii's trick was just using Comex's DVDX and wadmanager for IOS35. If he had followed this issue at all he'd know that that doesn't work any better than any of the other methods people had tried.

Our method uses nothing of the sort ( please show me where I said that )- and you sir = FAIL.

Sorry, but i'm getting sick of all of the people who, a. can't read, b. don't listen, and c. just think it's fun to bad mouth people trying 2 do others a favour.

So, FenrirWolf - Im in UK and it's 05:30am - Please tell us all what stops it working and why and also how to fix then? Or you could wait until later today and get the SoftMii Fix !

I've successfully softmodded 3 lu64's. That being said there has to be a cut off in the serial numbers. Does anyone have any idea as to where that is and what exactly is causing the crash in the first place? That's all i want to know.

I don't have to show you anything. It's not about me Vs you. I was just giving a warning to those considering running this 'script' on their Wii to do some research on your 'coding' efforts before making a decision. Why is everyone involved on this project afraid of those who point out what previous 'versions' of SoftMii are and advising caution before running a potentially dangerous script that probably hasn't been tested thoroughly?

if you are taking about icefires MyMenu it works pretty fucking good. thats what i use to make me themes and install them. so yes his software is safe

Edit : - I'm going to bed now as it's 6am in the UK and we have been staying up all night trying 2 get this 2gether for you all. I hope the LU64 users and the serials from other regions which are currently unmoddable are happy tomorrow. We have done our best and can do no more than that.
