Hey all - Sorry for the delays but here it is - its still not complete hence it being titled 2.9.5

We will be releasing an update tomorrow to 3.0 with the new themes and the legal corp installer. We have included normal corp for everyone for tonight.

Sorry it's been a lil rushed, i set the releae date, another week may have helped. I would advise any of you who have CIOS REV10 to upgrade to CIOS rev 11 in our pack from our friend Waninkoko.

Requirements:
- No GC hardware (controllers, save cards) plugged in.
- PAL or NTSC-U Wii on System Menu 3.4 or older (System Menu 4.0 supported if you upgraded with Waninkoko's updater).
- SD Card (at least 128mb, max 2gb), formatted to FAT or FAT32.
- The SoftMii 3.0 pack, with the "SD Card" folder's contents placed on your SD card.
- The Wii game "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess".
- Wii connected to internet via Wi-Fi.

Pasting Softmii onto waninkoko's work DOESNT make it ur own
i mean you could of atleast replaced the teknoconsolas banner to soemwhat claim it as your own but.

I can assure you we havent changed anything and that Waninkoko made it - but feel free to speculate all you want

I am sure Waninkoko will confirm that he modded these apps for us, but for the haterz out there, i'll ask linknworm to post for you as well.

yeah it is just a glorified tutorial and theme installer, but it does make it easier and more convenient to softmod you wii.

Just so you know, I've coded a bit of stuff for this to, and that was directly FOR softmii. Don't say it is just a collection, it is something new (SoftMii Tweaks 3 rocks imo, but I did write it

).

For those of you who do want to use SoftMii tho and the tools it contains - Please check out the release

For the LU64+ serial number ( a.k.a. unsoftmoddable wiis) I would definetley reccomend that you don't miss it as your wii will work like a standard wii as soon as release is out.

Now, you all just need to wait for comex to bring the 4.0 exploit and you will all have happy days again!

I understand some of the resentment toward softmii, for using everyone else's work and all, but isn't time we acknowledge that they clearly have helped to progress the wii mod scene. They provide a very clear guide and easy access to all the needed apps to mod your wii.

Yes a lot of noobs think that softmii created the entire package they provide, but anyone that has been following the wii hack scene at all knows that there are many contributors that helped create apps to soft-mod wiis.

And while they use the work of others in there package, they also have provided things that help progress the mod scene. And if they deliver the ability to mod the LU64+ wii's, then they will have contributed something new and progressive to the wii hack scene. I know I recommend the soft-mii package to any noobs I know that want to mod their wii's, because it is so easy to follow and it reduces the liklihood that these guys will call me later to fix there messed up wii.

One quick question; besides the legal version of CIOScorp, will there be any good reason to use softmii 3.0 if I already have softmii 2.1 (or something) installed with everything working fine. I mean will the 3.0 install provide any obvious benefit to those who already have the softmii 2.1 package installed (and thus don't have LU64+ wiis

What do you mean, in what sense Golf Dude?

You should not have to downgrade to benefit from the pack.

I would recommend upgrading tho to the 3.0 pack if you are using SoftMii.
