Hacking so i cant seem to update emunand.

GW3D 7.1.0-16U in the system settings, but when i try to system update, it connects to the internet, starts update, then fails. Any idea why this is happening?

Is there an error code or dialogue associated with the failure?

It just tells me failed to update, system is restarting now.

Be careful when the console is restarted because you'll be back to your SYS NAND. You definitely don't want to update that!!!

Check your firmware version says GW 7.1.0 before trying again.

Its been failing so many times i am just lazy to try to update now. =-= No idea why it fails. I tried formating emunand again after getting the 7.1 emunand out and tried updating and it still fails. I seriously have no idea why. it worked last time, why wont it work now?

none that I know of, no. I do not own a Wii U (though i would like to.)

Maybe you are not close enough to WiFi point or too many people on your are using it at the same time.

I tried going nearer to access point, but still to no avail.

edit: I changed the dns server as well, and i am sure i have updated before even with the router firewall. so i have no idea.

edit2: router firewall is off and still cant update. =-= so i have no idea now. and on the they before my birthday. bah.

edit3: alright, seems to update now. rebooted the router. thats all it took. =-= man im stupid.

How did you go back to 7.1? I assume you just restored a emunand backup, try picking format emunand and updating straight to 8.1 from 4.X

If your old emunand had issues and you keep restoring it back over the 4.x emunand you will keep having the same issues

My emunand was 7.1. i didnt update to 8.x. its okay now. problem resolved. its updating properly now. Thank for all the help!
