SkyrimVR opening saves from SE not quite working, opens and crashes?

Anyone in here ran into the issue of opening a skyrim SE save in the VR version and having it crash after the world loads (you can see the world load but press a button and either crash to desktop or main menu).

I've tried using the resaver tool to clean the save of all mods, still crashes, i've tried a vanilla (no mods) install of skyrimvr, still crashes.

I do have some really old saves that do seem to open in vr and work, its these newer ones from the last month or so that are giving me fits.

Any thoughts?

Seems the issue stems from esl creator files in data that existed on the SE version vs not in the VR version (VR version doesnt support esl)
