  • Sky3DS+ great news! We will release the newest firmwareV110! (01/11/2016)
  • We will release the new firmware V110 for sky3DS+ later this week, which enable you to play any new coming game
directly, no need the gamelist.bin file any more now! please add the line "CREATE_PER_GAME_SETTINGS=1" into your
settings.txt file as soon as possible now, make sure all your games .CFG are built properly before this new firmware udpate.

  • Note: it won't be able to read a game's saved file if its .CFG file is not exist after this new firmware update applied.

So what does this mean if you want to play online with your own private header?

On the current firmware, you can create your own ".cfg" file and add your private header for each game. This is much easier than the old way. The new firmware requires you to have a .cfg file for each game so it can read your game saves. This is the same .cfg you add your private header to.
By using "CREATE_PER_GAME_SETTINGS=1" in your settings.txt file, you should already have a .cfg for each game.

One thing is unclear for me. It says somewhere on the sky3ds+ site in engrish that you don't need the firmware.bin file anymore. Does this mean that even new released games will work out of the box without Sky3DS needing to update the template file/firmware.bin?

Yes. You will need to update firmware.bin only if there is a new AP check.
