Here's a basic list for every game that'll be gone and unpurchasable for those too lazy to click the link.

Steam/PC
*Every game from the Sega Genesis Classics Collection that already wasn't delisted by Sega when they were preparing to release Sonic Origins
*SEGA Bass Fishing
*Space Channel 5: Part 2
*Jet Set Radio
*NiGHTS: into Dreams
*Crazy Taxi

Xbox
*Sega Genesis Classics (the whole collection)
*Altered Beast
*Crazy Taxi
*Shinobi
*Sonic The Fighters
*Monster World
*SVC: ToeJam & Earl
*NiGHTS: into Dreams
*Golden Axe
*Virtua Fighter 2

Playstation/Nintendo
*Just Sega Genesis Classics (The whole collection)

So basically, they delisted everything that wasn't Sega Ages, anything recent like Yakuza, or anything named Sonic Adventure 1/2.

Why Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi? Those are such beloved games.
Are they perhaps planning some sort of re-release?
Yes and no, sega do not own the games entirely and most likely some licenes have expired and no sales mean no license renewal. Sega only owns the IP and some of the game hence why it had to drop original soundtrack, pizza hut and kfc branding on buildings and so on.

At least this move doesn't make them difficult to obtain.

So you'll now pirate them out of spite? If you wanted them why didn't you already buy them? Will you actually play them?
They were probably in his mental list of games to play someday and he didn't anticipate they would be delisted.

If this is the case, I'd be interested in hearing the details because from what I can tell the MD emulator was made by a work for hire company and I'd expect them to wholly own the rights to games like Altered Beast.

That's nasty! I heard few game companies did something to delisted few months ago then now and will do more delisted in the future.

Many people will end up to pirate all games now to future. Many people are going to dump tons of games through internet everyday and often time. Everyone are care and shared.

Some game companies are anti-trust and not care on games for everyone. I know it's awful for us and people.

I know they're making new ones of both not sure if that's the reason, but they've already re-released Jet Set Radio 2 gens ago so idk. They're also making a new Shinobi and a few others but not sure why that would make them do this.

Music rights issues and imminent re-releases/remasters/remakes are usually the two reasons for delisting. Many times, the titles reappear after a hiatus. (We had scares with Hitman 3 and the Castle of Illusion remake, but they came back)

Wasn't a Jet Set Radio remake or sequel announced? All the big companies delist the original so that there's only one option. (Sega did this recently with Sonic Generations)

And the funny thing is: people thought SEGA would be one of the companies that wouldn't do stuff like this, since they've been "benevolent" with Sonic fangames and other such things in the Sonic franchise. But now we see further proof of the long-term aspects of the SegaSammy merger, and that the further successes SegaSammy is seeing today with Sonic, Like a Dragon, and other franchises means they're less obligated to stick to the social contract they have with the community.
