have you been living under a rock?
Do you have
ANY idea how does antialiasing work ?
PICA200 graphics chip to be used in 3DS implements the simplest AA possible - FSAA 2x2. What it does is internally renders the game screen twice as large (in case of 3DS it would be 800x480 times two eyes) and then downsamples it to match the screen size, which results in reducing the "jaggies". It needs at least
4 times as much processing power than the normal, non-antialiased mode. Therefore, it should only be possible to apply it in simple scenes with not too many triangles/texels - certainly not in MGS or RE, but maybe in Nintendogz or Mario Kart... But still, screenshots from Nintendogz and Mario Kart, despite their reasonable simplicity, show awful jaggies while Starfox, much more complicated visually, is beautifully antialiased. DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.
