Nintendogz 3DS barely look any better than the DS version. Just a few triangles and still it was not possible to turn on antialiasing ? Should've known that these Starfox 3DS screenshots with fully-blown AA were fake...

And for Metal Gear Solid, remember these were not screenshots from a real games in the production. That was just a demo put together in 2 months, no game engine, no levels, nothing.

UHHHHHH

You sure you're right?

Some of these pictures came right from the Ninty's website
Plus somebody (I think from Ninty) leaked a website and a password that had all these info...

have you been living under a rock?

Do you have ANY idea how does antialiasing work ?

PICA200 graphics chip to be used in 3DS implements the simplest AA possible - FSAA 2x2. What it does is internally renders the game screen twice as large (in case of 3DS it would be 800x480 times two eyes) and then downsamples it to match the screen size, which results in reducing the "jaggies". It needs at least 4 times as much processing power than the normal, non-antialiased mode. Therefore, it should only be possible to apply it in simple scenes with not too many triangles/texels - certainly not in MGS or RE, but maybe in Nintendogz or Mario Kart... But still, screenshots from Nintendogz and Mario Kart, despite their reasonable simplicity, show awful jaggies while Starfox, much more complicated visually, is beautifully antialiased. DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

Your right. Thanks for over analyzing PICTURES. Think about it.

Thats a terrible example, the quality of the picture for the PS2 is bad there, but even enhanced it is still worse than the 3DS, which is cool.

I think Kingdom Hearts is the coolest (in gameplay and graphics) of all. Yesterday I finished Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, so I'm waiting for it ^-^ (as I don't have a PSP, and now I will save my money for the 3DS...)

I'm thinking: Super Smash Bros 3DS.

I'm doubting that. Although I want it to happen but I'm gonna doubt it. If anything, I'll just take a VC version of either SSB64 or SSBM. I wouldn't care about SSBB. They won't make a new SSB just for the 3DS.

watch the interview in nintendo's website----iwata mentioned that Super smash brothers will be good on 3d.

Can you give a link to that interview please?

As far as games go I think the 3DS is what I'd expect the N64 to be in handheld form plus 3D.

Meh, I'd say more Gamecube level. The game screenshots shown of 3DS games seem, in my opinion at least, of much better quality than most N64 games, even in their unfinished forms. Also take into account the online capabilities of the system.

N64? Hardly, the 3DS seems to be capable of surpassing the gamecube in some ways, particularly in the shader department. Heck, several 3DS games look superior to stuff seen on Wii or Xbox. It's safe to say that in a lot of way, 3DS will be able to produce visuals on par with almost any game system besides Xbox 360, PS3, and modern PC's (and shader-wise, it can do comparable effects to even current gen systems). Because already, games for the system have visuals surpassing last gen consoles. Polygon counts are firmly rooted in the Gamecube-Wii era, but the system supports a ton of other effect to enhance the visuals by a huge amount.

Trust me, N64 couldn't be able to handle graphics like this in its wildest dreams-

I can only assume you've forgotten how dated N64 graphics are, because even the best looking n64 games look horribly dated and not nearly as impressive as what the 3DS can do-
