Ok so i wanted to play Contra 4. I never loaded the rom before on my M3 Real. It says a save file does not exist so its creating one. Nothing else happens because it freezes so now i have to turn off the ds. Not every time i try to load up the game or any other new game it gives me a message saying "Save data file Fromat error!" What should i do? Is there a certain file i gotta delete or do i got to reformat my whole sd card? please help.

I had the same problem. Bought M3 real with hardware installed. Had the fromat error. Could not play a single game. After checking system file on memory card saw they installed very old version of system. Downloaded new system directory of m3adapter.com and everything is working as it should be! Good luck!

Most likely a bad rom..get it from elsewhere. If it still persists move all your roms to your comp and reformat, then put everything back on. tell us how it goes

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
