So, I formatted my sup m3's micro sd card to fat32 so I could put it in my previous dsi's sd card adapter and put it into my current dsi, i wanted to test it by putting a m4a song file into it and opening the nintendo dsi sound app to see if it detects it, but when i open it, it shows an error that says something among the lines of "the object inserted in the sd card slot" isnt valid. (and yes i followed the sd card setup steps on the dsi cfw guide). I also tried with my 3ds' sd card but it showed the same error (and i'm sure that one met the requirements too). How do I solve this?

Your SD card reader may be broken or has pins corroded. My recommendation is to replace it

Most likely get a replacement from another DSi or buy one online, open up your current DSi, remove the current SD card reader, and put the new one in.
I haven't done this myself so don't take these words as fact in case someone corrects me.
I don't think my previous dsi's reader works either, but lemme check when i have the chance

These are pretty easy to remove and replace, you just need a small cross head screwdriver and a plastic spudger tool.

It won't let me post the link but you can see the URL in the screenshot below which gives you an idea of price.

The part above doesn't require any soldering and also replaces the L + R shoulder buttons and volume buttons.
