I have a few VC wads that I want to install. Basically I hear that some wads may brick your Wii so I was intressted in finding out if there is safe alternatives in installing these wads. Is there a sort of preview option?

check the if it's a pal or ntsc version, use neek2o, installing on dolphin won't tell you much since it doesn't fail if you installed a wrong region wad. vc wad's are not as dangerous as other wads though. You should just be able to uninstall them if they fail.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
