Gaming Rune Factory 3 (English) Discussion Thread

I found the first two disappointing as neither the fighting nor the farming exactly smacked of perfect execution. But I think these games could be great so I'm still a little hyped in hopes they get it right this time.

I've never played any rune factory games, I've never even tested them, even though I have the game on my cart.

so I think rune factory 3 will get the same treatment..

I really prefer my HM games to be about actual farming. Might give this a shot, but would rather wait for GSD for all my monster-slaying needs.

Anyone know if this game has been dumped yet (in english) ? I'm anxious to play this with my friend like we did with RF2.

I'm totally hyped for this. Rune Factory is a great series and I want the 3rd game since it was announced in Japan.

Also, I'll probably name my farm 'Hakuou'.

Having played the JP version for quite a while, it's easily the best RF game on the DS. Takes the best aspects of 1 and 2, remove the 2nd generation crap, and improve the combat a bit more. Besides the protagonist looking very feminine, I got no other complaints.

I have my copy pre-ordered, and you "fans" should buy it too.

I agree with you, the games are really good, different from all the others HM games, that's why I love Rune Factory.

I hope my copy arrives early tomorrow, really want to play this!!

And I'm hopeful that this one will be one of those.

The video the OP posted shows the main character transforming into a Wooly.
I wonder what else you can turn into.

This game is THE best Harvest Moon/Rune Factory game ever.

Honestly, they improved the game mechanics so much, I was really disappointed that they didn't implement much of it in HM: Twin Villages. :/

I really really hope this gets dumped soon...

In the Japanese version, there was. An online level ranking system, and you got prizes in the form of rare items for reaching certain levels.

Max level in RF3 is lv 1000. Yes, one thousand.

I hope they didn't take out the wifi and wireless parts...
