Someone seems to of gotten a copy of Modern Warfare 2 early for PS3 and they have been live streaming it to the public. Something interesting in this video is that its played completely in third person and looks like it is not spectator or anything of the sorts. Could this be the big secret Infinity Ward has been talking about?

Whats your take on it?

It seems it is true according to a screeshot someone took of the game modes screen, hit the break to see the picture and a list of game modes. It is in another language but the users on the Infinity Ward forums were quick to translate it.

That would be absolutely awesome. I still haven't really gotten into controlling FPSes with a joypad, Third-Person works though for some odd reason. I actually try to avoid FPS-only shooters, because suck at them.

No this will just be someone spectating as this is a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER which is just a little thing that you didnt think of. plus all of the trailers of gameplay (on 360 anyways) show them playing first person and even on the youtube vid it says not me playing meaning it may be him watching another player

If its on PS3, then for sure the 360 release would have been leaked as well, maybe a dump by the end of this week?.... basically this shows that the game is in stores...pretty much what happened with ODST

Not necessarily, this guy just got a early copy, doesn't mean anyone else has it. Or that anyone would infact dump it.

Infinity Ward stated that you can only play all first person or third person, not mixed.

QUOTEIt's not something you can toggle on and off in ANY game," said Bowling. The special mode can only be played in private matches -- toggled on or off just like "Hardcore" settings -- or in playlists that are designated for third-person play. According to Bowling, everyone playing in a third-person playlist will be restricted to the viewpoint. "This is just another cool way to play the game," he said, "you obviously will still have the option to play gametypes normal as well.

It's pretty neat for a certain niche. From the series that I mentioned I liked (zelda, metroid, xenoblade) it automatically shows me extra info on characters and details like artwork and neat things related to the series I like.
