If you buy games now they will not stop working when the next Sony Firmware comes out. Only the PSN portions of them will stop working, oh and you won't be able to update the games.
If a CFW comes out for the PSP Go it will likely incorporate a workaround for MediaGo like GEN-D3 but we're getting ahead of ourselves in CFW department, what we need is a proper HEN first.

Yes they do. Just give it some time, once a proper HEN has been enabled (akin to ChickHEN) which means you can play ALL homebrew then you can bug GEN about making a PSPGo 6.20 GEN-A. The problem is that I'm not sure if they'll ever get ISOs working on a Go (as there's no UMD drive to emulate and the firmware is different) so you will probably end up pirating the PSN versions of games.

I am being patient, I am just wondering if it will be possible. If I wasn't being patient I would be asking every 2 minutes if it's possible to run CFW yet...

One exploit opens other exploits. If you have one insecurity you can work on it and jam it open with a crowbar until you have almost full access to the thing. As far as I know GEN CFW requires almost full access to the flash0 etc. to run all its various extras.

You've seen what the "hackers" are like in the PSP scene. Most likely this will just be for homebrew, which would be nice because piracy spoils everything.
You want free games? Don't get a PSP Go.

You're getting ahead of yourself and most of us people on the PSP section aren't too knowledgeable of proper PSP Hacking. Also when I said "One exploit opens other exploits" I'm meaning what we have here is a single crack into the OFW, with a little work we can jam it open getting to possible kernel mode exploits allowing a HEN and, maybe later, a CFW.

So by examining this exploit and how it came to be we could find other ones. I never said I wanted "free games" just to play the ones I already purchased on UMD and to access the PSN without updating.

Does any one here know the answer to these questions:
Is the Patapon 6.20 exploit user mode or kernel mode (I think it's user mode, can anyone confirm)
Is the ChickHEN exploit user mode or kernel mode?

Does that mean everybody knows everything? One time I used a double negative and someone was like "everybody knows everything" and I LOLed, really I did.

Regarding piracy, I guess maybe it's what killed the scene because it seemed like they didn't make as many games. I would buy games on UMD sometimes, but even so I hardly played games anyways. If I wanted to I could play any game, but for some funny reason the games I played the most were the ones I had on UMD anyways...

There is a thing called an iPod or MP3 player.

But an iPod is not as good as a PSP Go. With the PSP you just use any file manager (Mac, Windows, Linux, Embedded Device, Console,etc) to copy fles. With iPod you have to use iTunes or a compatible program.

Ever heard of these things called RockBox or iPod Linux? Neither one requires a special program to put music onto said iPod, also allows you to use many more file types. The only thing you need is a somewhat old iPod, videos are the best.
