Hello to all!
I tried to install riski mod v2.0 but on step 20) Run Preloader0.25 from HBC (Props 2 Crediar.)
it doesn't install, or I don't know what to do to install it.

The rest of the steps worked until now. Is there anybody who can help?

The code you must input to install is at the end of the readme.

Stupid question time. Riiskimod installed and working perfectly (Thanks to all who developed this). I still have Gamma Backup Loader installed on the Wii, should I delete this channel and if so is there anything else I should remove concerning Gamma. Thanks

This doesn't seem to boot lots of 1-on-1 copies I used with Gamma, mostly copies that are not from my region (PAL). [Although some PAL 1-1 also don't work.]
Should I reinstall this? Will it fix it? Or should I just get back to using Gamma?

If reinstalling is worth it, should I leave WC24 On or Off on the settings menu?

That is because the disc channel runs all games in video mode PAL, yo have to go to anyregionchanger, set video mode to NTSC and press save.
Gamma runs the video mode of the game, if the game is ntsc, runs it in NTSC.
PD: you can run ocarina or geckoos like an original game.

Tales of Symphonia KoR NTSC-U

Those are the ones I had here and that I could test. =)

QUOTE(digitydogs @ Jan 25 2009, 05:48 PM) FYE did you use the anyregion changer that came with the pack and make sure to tell it no to korean but yes to the hacks?
Yes. But I'll restart the installation from that point just to be sure. Thx

Here's a question for everyone: Why is it that when you exit a game you are playing then go back to preloader you cannot start system menu with game disc already inserted? Mine just hangs on the screen after starting system menu with the sets of numbers. Thanx in advance? Still this is an awsome release

Will a future update enable video mode switching depending what disc you are playing?
Like if I put in a NTSC game in a PAL Wii, can it be made so the video mode will automatically switch to NTSC, like Gamma does?

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
