So, I know it's probably somewhere in the VAST amount of settings, but I AM new to RetroArch...How do I use make use of actual in-game saves?

I played a PSX game the other day, used the in-game save feature to save my game. It looked like it worked, but when I later returned to resume my game. There was no save data to load.

Hello everyone and thank you for this precious information, effective with 400 mo I finally understand the impossibility of emulating correctly.

Updated RetroArch Nightly (27.10):
-Added Ozone by @natinusala
-Fix Timezones (updated libnx)
-Hopefully fixed HID Init (failed randomly before)
-Clean shutdown/exit sanitization by p-sam
RetroArch should now save when exited through home button without going to Exit RetroArch
Applies to NSP too

A updated NSP (optional) is bundled, make sure the old NSP is uninstalled before installing this one.
This build will be on the bot in the next few hours, use that bundle afterwards!

Ozone is the new menu driver you've been seeing around for a while

To enable it :
  1. Update your assets using the Online Updater (ozone assets are included in the bundle above)
  2. Go to Settings > Driver > Menu Driver and set it to ozone
  3. Restart RetroArch

Hello, i have some simple Qs
Is there any core for psp that works with retro?
Dose the sound work?
And mmm, any one tried to use it in tv mode? : d

There's a build on the buildbot from 19:00 today, I don't know if that's my time zone or the server's, I guess I could just download it and see if it's got the new gubbins.

Thanks for all the hard work. Excited to try the new menu driver, though not sure it'll take me away from the current default which I quite like (after switching to the simple snow animation).

Thankful for your quick answers.
another Q if you allow me, Psp works fine with Lakka.tv(sorry for my ignorance, but i do not know what the exactly difference between lakka and this retro except the way to enter the system, if psp works fine there in lakka, why not here if we use same core and files?).

I can't remember the exact details with the PSP emulator but I think it's to do with the CPU core. Usually is. Lakka switched to 32bit so it can use existing cpu cores, whereas native retroarch is waiting for the cores to be redone for 64bit.

PSP already has a 64bit dynarec, all that's needed is just interest on the dev of ppsspp to make the port.
All the requirements for it are already there.

When I tried to install this build of retroarch, the program does not detect any input anymore
Just go to the home screen and reload RetroArch. I've had the input die on me a few times after launching a game or loading up something else RA-related for whatever reason and it worked after that for the .nro. For the .nsp, I can only assume you close the program like you close any game on the Switch. Haven't had as much time with the .nsp as I have with the .nro.

Lovin' the new Ozone menu. much easier to read in portable mode and faster too. However whenever I back out of the menu into a game I'm running, any borders from unused space (i.e. using core aspect ratios rather than filling the screen) become grey instead of black. My switch OS is using a dark theme and I'm using the default ozone setting that copies that choice.
