BTW, if you put your PSX isos inside ux0:/RETROVITA/ and you select it through app0: on Retroarch there's no resume bug
Excellent, if this is true. Can I put the isos within another folder? For example, would

ux0:/RETROVITA/games/PS1/[game].[ext] Work?

Just confirmed this works. NICE. But to clarify, he means within the ux0:app/RETROVITA directory. My above example isn't correct.
ux0:/app/RETROVITA/games/ps1/[game]/[game].PBP works like a charm. The Vita just became so much better for me. VALKYRIE PROFILE TIME.

Why this was never mentioned before, I have no idea.

Stop man, it saves states as it is. Just relax those 4 seconds.

Just want to make verify: Will deleting the Retroarch All-In-One bubble remove the app/RETROVITA folder? If so, can I update it without deleting it?

What is the advantage of Retroarch for running PSX vs Adrenaline?
They won't stop developing it.

It's easier if you uninstall that bubble, but not needed at all. And deleting the bubble won't delete yor configuration, so it is not a big deal.

I used it during gameplay :D
Anyway on PC is faster, i've resolved by using Beetle PSX instead of PCSX-R (i dont kno why this one don't work for me)
I wait frangarcj resolve pcsx-r savestate on PSV (i like portable gaming and less to play on pc)

Are there any other cores for Vita/RA besides PCSX Re-ARMed? The core (online) updater is missing on the Vita dashboard and would it be possible to manually add another emulator? I'm not complaining whatsoever but some of the features like the video settings appear to be very limited as well versus on a PC. Beetle PSX on Vita? (If I missed this somewhere-sorry.) Half-noob.
I like how Adrenaline runs PS1 games as well and I am just experimenting with both ways to play and video settings are kind of fun to mess around with.

Thank you in advance.

P.S.-Forgot to mention I use a PSTV. I know the sky is the limit with a PC rig for emulation but I really love how good a wallet sized micro console can be.

frangarcj if you think its netplay the problem of savestates, you can make a separate nightly pcsx-r build with netplay disbaled or removed? i would like to test it.
(maybe you've right because all other nightly cores have same issue with savestates - game dont stop, slow down and make a loading before saving)

I've had to reinstall retroarch. I use a standalone 1.3.6 snes9x2005 core. I've reconfigured directories but savestates still won't load. What gives?

Nevermind. I'm an idiot.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
