Glad to hear your problem is finally over! In the end it was the little mistake of putting the roms and bios in the same zip. Well, now you know they're supposed to be separate zips in the same folder. Happy retro gaming! :)

I guess this thread STILL has meaning...people are still getting helped (and that is what a forum/thread is for) so why close it down :D
I agree entirely. Although the OP might never get updated again, it's not like we can't post news/updates/support from the main thread here for the rest of temp to see.

For the simple reason that nobody on here has access to the OP, we need a new thread for Temp users, with an OP containing all the relevant links, downloads, compatibility lists etc. Otherwise things get lost pages and pages ago.

Glad to see some people are getting it to work. I just downloaded the latest built 0.9.8.4 and when I launch it from the Homebrew channel I get nothing but a black screen. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I am using Homebrew 1.1.0 if that helps. Does it really take a long time the first time around? I have been waiting for about 10 minutes but still just a black screen.

No

, it should'nt take THAT long.
Make sure you have ios 58 installed.
Try a fresh install and delete all retroarch related files from SD card vefore attempting.

I have IOS 58 already installed. Was on Homebrew 1.0.8 but recently upgraded to 1.1.0. I just tried deleting all retroarch files and tried again with no luck. O well maybe I will just wait for the next update. Thanks anyway.

Edit: O just one more question. I noticed a wad file called "prboom.wad" located in a folder called "additional-files"-"doom"-"prboom.wad". Was I suppose to install that wad file to make retroarch work? or was it just a random file?

No you don't need to install that WAD, it's for playing with DOOM WADS with the DOOM core. A couple of suggestions, first if you have something plugged into USB port 1 unplug it. Try again. Second, make sure it's a completely clean install with no Retroarch folders on root of any device SD/USB. Third defrag your hard drive with a good defragging utility. Try again. Let us know how it went.

Are Snes9xGX save files compatible with Snes9x_next? I can't make them work in Retroarch, no matter what folder I put them into:unsure:

They use .SRAM or .srm if that's what you mean, if so, then yes. Just make sure you tell the emulator where the save directory is.

I just picked up a Hori Wii Fighting Stick and was hoping to use it with RetroArch, but it seems that it is stuck on "down" (keeps scrolling.) I tried the stick with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and it works just fine so I know it's not the controller. I also tried all of the controller options on RetroArch (Classic, Wiimote, GameCube, etc.) and none of those worked either. Is this controller simply not compatible with RetroArch, or am I totally overlooking something? Apologies if this has already been addressed; I only skimmed through the 132 pages.

The team neglects the fact that retroarch has a "d-pad sticking bug" and blames Wiiuse in libogc.
I think this is rather strange as NO OTHER EMU ON WII I KNOW OF HAS THIS BUG....sigh.
Ignorance is bliss I guess.....but it still sucks major XXX!
Main reason I rather use the other emus with my CC pro, VERY VERY annoying bug.

I used to have the "analog down" bug in emus, it happens that previous version of libogc didn't include every controller model. For example in WiiSX only one CC pro worked for me.

Never had problems with RetroArch though.
